• Classes start September and run through till June--Open Erollment year round.

• Classes meet once a week for an one hour period. All materials are included. 

• Throughout the year there will be special Saturday workshops, local artist shows and visiting artists who will demonstrate their works and/or give lectures. These special events will be open to the public, but will require pre-registration. We also participate in local shows and have our own art show and reception at the Middleboro Public Library the entire month of May.
  
• Art on the Spot also creates specialized programs for organizations such as: Mother's groups, home schooling, church groups, brownies, boy scouts and others.

Traditional Art classes:  Winter / Spring 2012

Cost is $75.00 per calendar month*. All materials are included. 1 hour weekly.

Mondays: Ages 6-8 4pm, Ages 9-11 5:15pm, Ages 9-11 6:30pm

Tuesdays: Lil' artist 4:15pm, Ages 9-11  5:15pm, Ages 12+ 6:30pm

Wednesday: Ages 12+, 4:30pm (advanced class)*, Ages 12+ 6pm

Thursday: Ages 6-8 4pm , Ages 9-11  5:15pm, Ages 6-8 6:30pm

Friday:  classes will not be scheduled this year. Fridays will be reserved for adult classes and special events.


* Students may take advance class only with the permission of the instructor. 

Days, times and/or age requirements are subject to change.
Children must meet age requirements prior to the start of the program.
*Traditional class costs are based on 34 class meetings. Cost of the year ($750) divided by 10 months = $75. Number of classes may vary from month to month due to holidays/ school vacations

 Lil' Artists class (ages 4-5yrs)--NEW!!
Due to the high demand of younger classes, Art on the Spot will be starting classes for our wee ones, this Fall. Class will meet Tuesdays 4:15pm-5pm. Each week little ones will explore art, try out new mediums--such as: Paint, clay, pastel and recycled art and learn about great artists. All materials will be included. This class will run in 4 week rotations, but enrollment is ongoing. Cost of this program is $60 4/wks



FEBRUARY VACATION WORKSHOPS

During the week of February 20^th-24th, Art on the Spot studio will host our vacation workshops for children ages 7 yrs and up.  From 9am-12:30pm each day. Students will be able to experiment in different art media and be able to create a variety art projects to take home and enjoy!

Cost for these workshops is $40 per day or save $25 and sign up for the whole week for $175. Students need only to bring a snack and drink for the day, all art supplies are included.  Registration with full payment must be received by February 17^th. Class size is limited to 12 students.

Monday— Drawing—Cute and Crazy Cartoons Students will learn different forms of cartooning on this day and practice by making their own comic strip. Handouts and more will be given for students to take home to keep learning!

Tuesday- Clay Day!! One of studio’s most popular art forms...clay! Children will explore the basics of this squishy medium to create things such as funky tea pots and  animal whistles.

Wednesday—Paint, Paper and Cardboard— In this class students will go over the basics of painting and using bright vivid colors, they will create some three dimensional projects such as modern totems and wall hangings.

Thursday—Messy Masterpieces—Yes, it’s back and messier than ever!! No vacation workshop week is complete without this messy day filled with muck, squish, splat and the process is more fun than product in this class….Messy clothes are a must!

Friday—Mardi Gras day!— Students will celebrate on this day by making paper beads, masks, hats or noise makers…come join the fun!
